Solve nearsightedness with implantable contact lenses

A percentage of nearsighted (myopic) clients do not qualify for laser vision correction (such as LASIK) either because they have a high prescription (>12-13D) or a very thin cornea that makes LASIK a poor option (it could lead to irregular astigmatism, ectasia, afterward). If you are not considered a good candidate for LASIK, implantable contact lenses may be the ideal way to restore sharp vision and live without glasses or contacts.

A groundbreaking vision treatment

Before the development of these groundbreaking implantable lenses, no choice was available other than wearing thick “coke-bottle” glasses or uncomfortable hard contact lenses. Today, there is an excellent treatment for vision problems: Implantable contact lenses that will restore clear, crisp eyesight for the long term.

EVO ICL implantable contact lenses

The EVO ICL is a tiny clear lens that can be placed in the eye in a matter of minutes without sedation or sutures. This technology has been FDA-approved since 1995, and since that time, thousands of people with serious nearsightedness have enjoyed sharp vision without the need for glasses or contact lenses.

How do implantable contact lenses work?

EVO ICL implantable lenses have an impressive track record, with the procedure meeting or beating the safety record of other vision correction eye surgeries. Implantable contact lenses resolve nearsightedness using a different approach than is employed with LASIK. LASIK reshapes the cornea, whereas this procedure places corrective lenses beneath the eye surface.

Biocompatible implantable lenses

The lens contains collagen (a protein that the body produces naturally) and is placed so that the light entering the eye can be correctly focused to create clear, defined vision. An incision is placed in the cornea (the transparent part of the eye on the surface) and placed behind the iris (the colored tissue of the eye beneath the cornea).

Enjoy life with excellent vision

The natural eye lens is left intact, and the incision heals rapidly.

The procedure takes about 20 to 30 minutes, is painless, and clear, crisp vision can be enjoyed right away, or by the next morning.
