• Just Try Doing These 5 Yoga Postures With Glasses

    || 06-28-2016

    Exercise is an essential part of our life. Yoga is considered on of the most popular workouts around the world. Regular yoga practice lowers your risk for heart disease and hypertension. Yoga may also lessen symptoms of depression, headaches, diabetes, some forms of cancer and pain-related diseases like arthritis. Whether you are a true yogi, or just the beginner; yoga is a great way to build strength and increase flexibility…
    That is, if you don’t have glasses wrecking your (vinyasa) flow. Before you squeeze into those yoga pants and unroll your mat, beware of these 5 poses if you wear glasses:

    1. Downward Facing Dog

    This pose is normally considered pretty basic, but you can ramp up the difficulty by adding a pair of glasses sliding off with increasing ease as you start to sweat. Good thing you only assume this position like a hundred times during a yoga session.

    2.Child’s pose

    Hey, everyone needs a break sometimes. You try to hide the pain and head to Child’s Pose. But you realize it’s not so relaxing with the frames of your glasses pressing hard into the bridge of your nose.

    3. Crow

    LOL. Yeah, right.

    4. Warrior 3

    It’s hard enough to balance your body in this pose, let alone balance your glasses on the bridge of your now slick nose. You’re all Namaste; but your glasses are like : “nah!”

    5. Wheel

    Getting in and out of the Wheel, or Upward Bow, pose can be scary. Even scarier is trying to come down without crushing your glasses after they fall off your face on the way up.

    If you’re getting annoyed and/or embarrassed spending every yoga class in Shavasana, and you haven’t given it a good look in a while, maybe it’s time to reconsider LASIK.
