Accomodative Lenses (Crystalens HD)
Los Angeles Cosmetic Eye Surgery
While most vision correction procedures are done to change the focusing power of the cornea, the Crystalens HD was created to correct nearsightedness and farsightedness by replacing the eye's natural lens with an artificial one. This artificial replacement lens works seamlessly with your eye muscles to give you the maximum quality of vision that you used to have. Individuals who want to reduce or eliminate their dependence on contacts or glasses, or who are not a good candidate for laser vision correction, typically find that the Crystalens HD provides them with the quality vision for which they are looking.
When you contact Dr. Soroudi about this accommodative lens, he will carefully review your situation to determine if the Crystalens HD is an option for you. You will be given all of the necessary information about the lens and the procedure so that you can make an informed decision about whether to proceed. This lens is approved by the FDA and Dr. Soroudi recommends this option for patients who have early cataracts or high hyperopia (over +4.00D).
The Crystalens Magnified
The Crystalens HD uses a hinged design to allow for movement of the lens in the eye to bring intermediate and distance objects into focus. Dr. Soroudi performs this procedure on an outpatient basis, treating only one eye at a time. All in all, the surgery should not take more than 10-20 minutes.
The Soroudi Advanced LASIK & Eye Center in Los Angeles performs many of these surgeries, and Dr. Soroudi is able to perform this procedure without the need for any injections or even sedation. This is a bloodless surgery and most patients return to their normal activities within a day or two. Call the Soroudi Advanced LASIK & Eye Center to schedule a consultation where you will be able to learn about whether or not the Crystalens HD is the right option for you.
